Had a bid to start Friday and talk of potential China business in the shadows, but we faded by the end with beans off 5 3/4 to 1018, on the lows and a dime off the highs. Not as big of a range as the trade made it feel. Corn down 2 3/4 to 419. Wheat held in, 515 1/4, up 1/2 cent, but wheat and oats are very beat down even on the longer-term charts. Rice recovered a dime, 1111 as harvest winds down and there is a lot of variability in the later harvest yields. If you found yourself disappointed with certain fields and varieties, don't feel like you are alone. Dow ran to new highs early Friday and faded back to 47,031 by the close, 225 higher but 300 off the contract highs set early in the day. Bonds leak 11 tics, 116.30.
