Ugly day Friday in the Dow, 38,530, minus 2,246 points. That even hurts to type. Bonds flight to quality went as high as 121.27 but lost half the up move by the end of the day, 120.19, still a point and 6 tic gain. Gap thru bean chart support in the overnight session on China tariff talk left soy and its products in a downward spiral. Soy eventually settled 34 1/2 lower, 977. I expected a better bounce from the lows in beans, but bean supply globally is the most available and we are trading global numbers now it seems. Wheat traded 520 but recovered to 529, off 7. Corn looked below 50 early but fully recovered and traded up to 460 1/4 by the end, plus 2 3/4. Rice unchanged, 1307 1/2 and a huge fund short wanting someone else to make his position look good, he sure didn't want to add to it. Will be a violent Monday.
