Monday

Nothing too exciting about Monday with the financials just resetting from Friday close, bonds recovering 28 tics, 117.22 and the Dow giving back Friday gains, 42, 956, minus 253 points.  In grains, corn up a couple cents, 416 1/2 which tells us a bit about the weekends harvest results as we work our way north, while wheat closes 3/4 better, 568 3/4.  Not a bad close in wheat looking at oats' weakness.  90 new rice receipts delivered after the close and Bunge was the stopper.  Switching to Jan moving forward for rice and beans, with Jan rice up then down to close off 8 1/2 cents, 1472 1/2.  Meal finally caught a bid, and beans gained 3 1/2 to 997 1/4.  Please Pay attention to your local grains' basis for pops.
