Bit of a wild trade Monday with talk of tariffs replaced early on with deals being cut. We got some serious concessions on how the borders will be managed moving forward out of the deals. After ugly trade early, beans popped to 1058 1/2 closing 16 1/4 better on the day. Corn gained 6 3/4 cents, 488 3/4 and wheat up 7 1/4 as well, 566 3/4. Rice the sole laggard in the grain room as the short fund continues to add to a big position, 1373, minus 11 1/2. They did this in corn last year and succeeded because there was no friendly news to hook them. Columbia closing their deal or a Cuba opening would make for a violent up move to get that big a short covered. Dow looked under 44K but held and recovered to 44,565, off only 133 points and bonds gained 15 tics, 114.12. Bonds looked over 115 but no go for now anyway.
